I completely forgot just how ridiculously fun Serious Sam is on co-op. Serious Sam HD has re-established itself among the new generation of gamers out there as well as those who played it when it was originally released. Personally, SS HD is a remake done right.
Though I am surprised to find some minor things to be missing or changed like the gravity effects you see in the Sacred Yards or in Karnak. Aside from those minor changes, the gameplay, levels, even the music and sounds are completely identical to the original with the exception of the massive visual/rendering improvement. I’ve also been hearing rumors that the Serious Editor would be included in the upcoming patch, which would be a good move as it can allow modders to keep the game alive with new maps and features.
For $20 on Steam, Serious Sam HD is worth it. I think you’ll be pleased.

Going over my portfolio, I’ve realized that I am missing one important thing: a level design process synopsis. This basically explains my workflow in creating levels and also serves as a lesson for others as well. Either ways I’ve added a level design process section to my level portfolio.
I’ve also stumbled across worldofleveldesign.com which contains some really interesting articles. Highly recommended whatever if you’re new or a veteran to level design.

During the restoration of the long lost Quake map, I suddenly had the urge to make a small mission pack. For the past two weeks I’ve been working on several new features like new traps, enemies, AI behavior etc and begun working on a new map. There are plans to have at least four or five maps in this mission pack, not including the custom start map.
A new page is added for this WIP mission pack which can be found here.

After digging through my old floppy disks, I finally found one of my unfinished Quake levels, which was named ‘Untitled’ in the Miscellaneous Levels section. After finding this old gem, I decided to finish what I’ve started almost a decade ago. Its also pretty refreshing to play through Quake again as I forgot just how awsome that game was. I still need to get my hands on the mission packs though…
I’ll probably use QERadiant or something similar to finish that map as I am too reluctant to use Qoole again.

After many failed attempts to get my website hosted I managed to find a host which suddenly goes under just 5 days after I registered. After many more searches on the net, I am now quite happy to find WordPress as my new home!
So yeah.. its a little empty right now but there’s more to come in the future.
